Home to over three dozen schools, most campuses are ranked a 10 out of 10 on Great Schools, a feat accomplished by a few others. Glenview locals also benefit from close proximity to delicious restaurants, top-notch coffee shops, and a vibrant nightlife scene, something not always found in a suburban environment. More quiet recreation is enjoyed at The Glen Club, one of the area’s more upscale hospitality and golfing facilities. In addition to golf, The Glen Club puts on several events throughout the year and serves traditional American favorites at their on-site grill.

The Glen Town Center is the community’s premier destination for upscale outdoor shopping and dining, offering anything one could ever need. Unique boutiques, locally run businesses, and a plethora of dining options ranging from ice cream to brunch, and Mexican to Sushi can all be found within a stone's throw of one another. The Glen Town Center is also home to a luxury movie theater, spas, salons, and boutique fitness studios.
The Grove is Glenview’s most unique outdoor experience. Part preserve and part museum, guests are welcome to wander the former home of famed horticulturalist Dr. John Kennicott. A National Historic Landmark, The Grove is also a dedicated Illinois Nature Preserve, spanning nearly 150 acres of wetlands, trails, and ecologically diverse landscape.
The Kohl Children's Museum provides immersive experiences for children, toddlers, and infants. Some previous displays have included sensory exhibits, hands-on scientific adventures, and several permanent displays exploring art, music, animals, and a mini Whole Foods Market.
The historic Wagner Farm is one of the last working farms in the Chicago area. Live exhibits demonstrate life on the farm, while Locals can shop the on-site farmers’ market Saturdays from June through October. This storied venue boasts over a century of history, serves nearly 150,000 visitors each year and is also home to a popular pumpkin patch every fall.
Things To Do
Glenview is home to numerous parks, with Gallery Park being one of the favorites. Situated across the way from the Glen Town Center, Gallery Park lies on 140 acres featuring lakeside trails, ball fields, fitness facilities, basketball courts, and a senior center providing fun activities for Glenview residents in their golden years. Festive events looked forward to by residents of all ages throughout the year include the Summer concert series, the Fourth of July parade and fireworks, Memorial Day celebrations, and more.
